the fact that alfred was the one to put up jason's memorial is so important to me
#alfred's military background and his sudden shove into parenthood are things i think about a lot#alfred using the term 'soldier' as something honourable. as something to take pride in.#alfred putting 'a good soldier' on jason's plaque to show his care#the voice in bruce's head referring to his children as his soldiers sounding suspiciously like alfred's#bruce initially refusing to acknowledge jason's existence after his death bc it's the only way he can keep going#& alfred saying 'i will not let you do this. if you will not acknowledge him in your daily life i will make you do so every night'#because alfred doesn't know how to acknowledge the absence of a child either#besides going about your life and praying hoping wishing that they return somehow safe and sound#but he knows how to honour fallen soldiers.#and he will help you in the only way that he can.#sorry i just have so many thoughts about this#(justice league 19)#alfred pennyworth#jason todd#red hood#bruce wayne#batman#edit: neeeed people to stop telling me this is a new52 thing. do you think i was unaware when making the post.#there are a lot of things from new52 that i dislike. this is simply not one of them. thank you.

The batkids encountering distressed children and calling them "sweetheart", subconsciously mimicking how Bruce would and will call them sweetheart when they're distressed, and not even realizing it?? Don't speak to me. I can't.
#I was specifically thinking about dick doing this#and it being particularly emotional bc he's the eldest child. the one who had to step in and be batman for while#the one who's practically like a second parent to his siblings and just like.#smth about it hits hard.#bc dick is very different from bruce but he's the eldest so he's also more similar to bruce than anyone in the family cares to admit#and when dick uses that nickname. for a moment the family just sees bruce#and it's heart wrenchingly beautiful#I'm not convinced I conveyed my thoughts well at all but oh well I tried#dc#dc comics#batman comics#batman#batman meta#bruce wayne#dick grayson#nightwing#dc robin#jason todd#jason todd wayne#red hood#batfamily#batfam#bruce wayne is a good dad#bruce wayne is a good parent#tim drake wayne#tim drake#red robin#damian wayne#damian al ghul#cassandra cain

Prompt:
Brucie Wayne gets into a mild accident in public (read-got hit by a car). And Batman would just walk it off (âitâs barely a bruiseâ), but Brucie obviously⊠canât.

Genuinely, I think one of the most fun and crunchy things about any character is
How far they will go for things they want
What they will do to get things they want
Things they won't do, no matter how much they want what they'd get in exchange
Because these things tell you some very important things about the character, namely their limits, their price, and their absolute No's. (And it lets you create some really REALLY crunchy conflict)
#a prime example is batman joker and jason todd#which puts all of that into conflict#bc of batman's refusal to kill - even when that would solve the problem#even when it hurts him and his son both in different ways#(to jason: bruce valuing his moral code above jason's life. valuing the joker's life over jason's.#To bruce: if he broke that code he wouldnt be HIM anymore. You see?)#also imo#most villain characters are people who will go far beyond the âaverageâ limits people have#for example#delilah briarwood âbreaking the worldâ for sake of sylas#she didn't care about anyone BUT her husband#extreme tunnel focus#tag meta#writing things#fic things

I think the Batkids reaction to a Bruce who isn't de-aged to 8 but rather 29 (pre-Jason death, post his adoption) would be fascinating.Â
Their reaction would vary wildly:
Dick: Oh. Bruce is soft again. Bruce calls them âchumâ and âbuddyâ and gives head pats for no reason. He still isnât perfect, his communication skills are still a work in progress, but compared to his future self? Without actively dying Dick is hugged plenty. Bruce asks him to go to the zoo, unrelated to any case, just to spend time together. Dick is hit with more nostalgia and longing for the past than he knows what to do with.
Also notable: his dad is younger than him. That is something. Second, holy existential crisis Batman, his dad is younger than him and already one adult and one teenage kid??? Dick is not ready to feel this old yet. Third, Dick has absolutely no idea how Bruce managed to stay patient through his no-pants years. He is going to thank reason every day from now on that Damian wears full protection.
Jason: After his death and League he clung to an image of Bruce. One many tried to beat out of him, but he still kept it somewhere close to his heart, buried deep enough even he couldnât see it. When he came back Bruce wasnât like this idea of him. How stupid of him to believe the mind of a traumatized kid. Trying to create one good thing before the kid drew his last breath. Making up memories that never even existed.
But they did. Every smile and hug and even his words reflect the image tugged safely against his still-beating heart. His dad very clearly, very deeply loves him. Which is so much worse. Because he can understand why a Bruce, who never cared, didnât kill the Joker. But he cares. So why the fuck did he not kill the Joker?
Tim: The reason he joined the family, the reason why he became Robin in the first place was because he saw a problem when Bruce started self-destructing and thought âSomeone needs to fix that!â. Therefore he went and collected Dick, who didnât seem keen on fixing it. So, the job fell to him to fix it.
He thought he did a good job, he thought he fixed the problem. Except now he sees who Bruce was, and he knows he failed. Their Bruce is less soft, less affectionate, less like he was before. Batman needs a Robin and Tim didnât manage to be good enough of one to save him.Â
[Or: Tim has a guilt complex a hundred miles wide and blames himself for things that arenât his fault part 52]
Steph: Jason and she are very similar. Both come from the Narrows, both have a mother addicted to drugs and a shitty father. The differences start when Steph keeps waiting on the roof of their apartment for Batman to whisk her away, while Jason tries to steal the tires of the Batmobile and is taken in.
When Steph started out as Spoiler Bruce tried to keep her off the field, and obviously this one would too (even if he would probably be less paranoid about it), but she knows this Bruce would have also taken her in. This Bruce would be the father she always wished for when she sat on their roof and couldnât see any stars.Â
And she didnât get to have this because Jason went ahead and died. (Of course, she knows she isnât fair to the guy. Dying isnât fun⊠And she knows the only reason she lived is because he died. When Batman rescued her from Black Mask she was in such terrible shape that Leslie managed to convince the Worldâs Greatest Detective that she died. If Jason hadnât died Bruce wouldnât have been as paranoid, wouldnât have noticed her missing so soon, wouldnât have been as urgent in his response. Would have been just a minute slower, a minute which would have killed her. Just as it had Jason.)
For her, this Bruce is a distorted mirror into a past which never was.Â
Cass: This Bruce and B are not the same person. They donât move the same. In a fight, this Bruce is younger, faster, stronger. Doesnât compensate for a previously broken spine. Less experienced. Still one of the most experienced she knows, but less.Â
He still moves differently, outside a fight, less pain. More likely to engage in physical affection, more likely to hug and pat and talk. He talks more than B. B knows what she means without words. This Bruce doesnât.
She likes this Bruce, warmth, and softness. But not as much as B. He knows what she means, when she wants a hug, when she tells him âI love youâ without words. B doesnât need words. This Bruce doesnât know her, doesnât communicate like her. She wants B back.
Damian: At first, when this version of his father seemed uncanny and oddly familiar, he assumed it to be due to the stories of his mother. After all, she always told him tales about his father. He simply did not have the frame of reference to understand the kindness she spoke of. Clearly, the clash between the ideals of the League and the ones of his father causes these feelings, just as they did when he first entered the manor.
He presumed this to be the case until one day on patrol Batman laid a hand on his shoulder and told him he did a good job after no particularly impressive fight and he nearly called him âGraysonâ. Because the stories of his mother may have painted the picture of this version of his father, however, it wasnât what made it familiar; no, he knew this kindness. These hugs and compliments one would bestow upon a child. Compliments which, despite the indignity, still warm him. Because Grayson learned how to be a⊠caregiver from his father.
His father used to be like Grayson, used to be until his grief hardened him. Damian could have had this. Damian could have a brother and father who would- But he doesnât because of Todd. He loathes Todd. Loathes him for ruining the life he could have had.
Why did he die anyway? Damian certainly wouldnât have a problem escaping bonds created by the Joker, Damian would have disarmed the bomb in time, Damian would have never thrown this life away like he did.
[Or: Damian is a child who was raised by assassins and has unreasonable standards for fighting abilities and also is a child who needs to focus his rage on someone.]
Duke: He was neither there before Jason died nor in the aftermath [according to my math he was around 4 when Jason died] he joined the family when Jason was already back for 4 years or so. He mostly skipped all the drama. For him, Bruce is the way Bruce is because he is Bruce. Itâs weird to see him so different, to see how grief shaped parts of Bruce which Duke assumed were just Bruce things.
Heâs glad this Bruce is brighter, or not because it just highlights how much that light will dim? Who knows, certainly not him.Â
What he does know is that, with their Bruce, he has a distance which, with his parents still alive, he appreciates. With this Bruce, he can understand why Dick struggled so much whether he wants to be his ward or son, how he doesnât want to replace his parents but still have this Bruce as a dad. It definitely explained the ted talk Dick tried to give him after Bruce officially took him in as a ward.
He likes this Bruce well enough, but he doesnât necessarily want him to stay this way. Yes, their Bruce is less happy, less open but he did heal, he did grow. Duke met a Bruce who tried to learn from his mistakes, learned to communicate better, and learned when to pull and when to push. For Tim, Damian, Dick, and certainly Jason there is too much baggage, too much history in their relationships, itâs difficult for them to ever move past- anything really.
Sure, when Dick and Bruce are on the same page they are essentially invincible but then the past catches up again and they donât talk to each other for months. And honestly? Apart from Cass, Dukeâs pretty sure he has one of the best relationships with Bruce simply because he got to know him at a better time.
Duke doesnât mind this Bruce. But their Bruce loved Jason, cared for him so deeply the scars still show to this day. And he still chooses to open up again even if just a bit by bit. Even if just Duke can see it. He is used to being the only one that can see.
And maybe knowing this care extends to him, this love even grief canât shake? Maybe it makes him feel just a little bit safer, a little bit warmer, a little bit brighter.
#Anyway Alfred is just very sad.#Also i like to believe Bruce learned from each of his kids#just that Dick wanted space and Jason closeness#Tim just wanted Bruce to be more careful and steph wanted him to do more#and bruce kind of tried to learn and then applied the thing that would have been amazing for one kid for another who hates it#by now he kind of gets that one solution isn't going to work for all his kids.#but his relationships are already strained#bruce wayne#jason todd#cassandra cain#dick grayson#tim drake#damian wayne#duke thomas#batfam#batfamily#stephanie brown#batdad#de aging#fic ideas#batman#i have thoughts on Steph & Jason parallels#most of them come from writers not caring about steph but still#that makes them even more interesting to me

Slightly Crack Batfam AU
Duke, shortly after being adopted, finds an old demon summoning circle burned into the floor under a rug in one of the rooms.
That, combined with some of the literature he finds laying around, leads him to conclude that someone in his new family is secretly a demon and he starts trying to figure out who.
Could it be Bruce, the literal demon of the night?
Dick, who bends and flips effortlessly in ways no normal human could?
Jason seems the most likely, as he climbed out of his own grave, but to be fair, he'd never actually seen Tim sleep.
And then there was Damian.
He never would have guessed that the demon is actually Alfred, summoned by a desperate, distraught Bruce the night of his parents' deaths.
Originally, their deal was just for Alfred to help Bruce get his revenge.
The reason he stuck around, though?
He realized he needed to make sure that Bruce and his collection of equally crazy orphans stayed OUT of the afterlife (and therefore AWAY from the throne of hell, which he has no doubt someone would eventually take) and decided to stay on as their oddly perfect butler.

A âbuddyâ vigilante story where Jason and Tim go back in time during Dickâs time as Robin, when the Worlds Greatest Detective was still young.
Basically, they significantly change the past and in the most annoying way possible. Tim knows that no one will know it was them and has been pretty morally flexible about the whole thing. They go down the list of rogues, down the list of siblings, bickering about it the whole time.
Jason kills the Joker, Tim rescues Cass, and both of them try and get one over on the other about their past selves.
Because Tim tries to talk baby Jason into stealing the Batâs tires early while Jasonâs out murdering Zucco, and Jasonâs out snatching Tiny Tim and his camera from rooftops trying to leave him gift wrapped in the batcave while Timâs out stealing info from Luthor.
Itâs one giant clusterfuck but theyâre successful because Tim and Jason combined are absolutely lethal and no one ever saw them coming.
Meanwhile, they keep running into Robin and absolutely losing it over seeing their oldest brother so young and angry.
Dick tries to track them down after they killed Zucco, he wants to ask why. What the hell they could possibly be doing or why that would matter to them.
Tim pushes Jason off a roof.Jason lights Timâs ancient computer on fire. Tim tears a book in half. Jason takes pictures of Tiny Tim and sets them as his wallpaper. Itâs a comedy, your honor.
And probably the worst headache Batman will ever get.
#batman#bruce wayne#jason todd#dick grayson#redhood#tim drake#nightwing#cassandra cain#red robin#because in every time travel fic something goes wrong or they donât really kill the joker and everybody learns something about morality blah#blah blah come on let tim and jason have a little murder as a treat and tim helped babs write code for the watchtower and updates for the#batcomputer so he knows certain cases and writes all of these files for bruce about the justice league and the titans and raâs he knows#batman needs to be prepared so he absolutely stacks his hand fuck the timline tim knows what batman is after and itâs justice#meanwhile jason is befriending alfred in secret making sure the joker never goes after him and babs sparring with robin to get out his anger#abducting little timmy helping out narrows and blondie leaving cass to tim and overall making sure the family is on track because he knows#what bruce wants and itâs a family#one jason will make sure doesnât rip itself apart through tragedy#demon brat is the only real wrench because they have to wait for him to come out of his pod and THEN abduct him#and bruce is doing his best to be willfully ignorant of all these new children and case files on the batcomputer because every time he#tries to object to their methods he gets a glare from alfred and a new child to take care of

Timothy Drake-Wayne and Red Robin don't hold grudges. Someone could try to stab them, and he would still greet them amicably.
Tim, however, absolutely holds grudges. He'll forgive his siblings for betrayal or attempted homicide, but every piece of technology they own is obliterated if they touch his Zesti.
The lines he'll cross are more extreme if he's holding a grudge for someone else.
A person mentioned three years ago that Robin's (Damian's) outfit looks stupid. They still get every single red light when they drive.
That new JL member that implied Batman is too cold-hearted to be a hero? Every embarrassing moment of theirs on patrol (including tripping) is uploaded onto YouTube as failure compilations.
Duke knows it's no coincidence that every jerk he's mentioned to Tim has been aggressively dealt with. He fully utilizes this but allows himself plausible deniability.
Tarantula hasn't been heard from in years. No one knows what exactly happened to her, but rumors indicate she suffered greatly.
A goon that had gotten a lucky hit on Red Hood ended up at the police station 24 hours later with all the bones in their dominant hand broken.
Any person that makes ableist comments about Barbara has their information directly sent to her. She prefers to deal out the retribution. Steph is similar, but she'll sometimes ask Tim to join her.
Cass treats the experience as a siblings bonding trip whenever someone is stupid enough to slight her in front of Tim.

Your name is Tim Drake and you are nine years old.
Today, tomorrow, and soon, you're going to save Robin.
----
Tim stares at his reflection on the sink tap. It trembles, along with the plane, as he contemplates his situation.
His face is rounder, now, with unfamiliar baby-fat rounding out the sharp lines he'd come to expect. Even with the subpar reflection, Tim can tell that his dark eyebags are all but gone, replaced with youthful skin.
Magic. He's being quite literal, seeing as he's been tossed into the body of his younger self at the hands of a crazed magician.
He could find a way back... or he could create a completely different timeline by fixing everything that went wrong. It's not like he has anything to go back to, anyways. That crazed magician was actually competent and killed everyone he ever cared about. Tim barely got away with his life. He could go back to save that shell of a world- surrounded by people whose minds were broken beyond magical and medical repair- or stay here, fix his own personal troubles and cut off the magician before he could start with his world domination bullshit.
Well, Tim already has an idea of what he wants. So he begins a list, after having oriented himself.
Save Robin
There's no point trying to convince Bruce that he knows where Jason's being held. So, Tim finds himself on a plane to Ethiopia a day before Jason's meant to die. This was long before Barbara even thought of being Oracle, and the tech is ancient in his hands. In short order, nine year old Tim has a trust fund with millions in it, all siphoned from billionaires like Lex Luthor and his own parents.
Tim toddles back to his seat, after washing his hands because he still can't shake the extra bit of paranoia that came with a missing spleen. Oh. Tim blinks guilelessly at his seat neighbor, smiling like Timothy Drake, Angel of a Son as he reels from the realization that he still has his spleen.
Tim adds another box to his list:
Keep Ra's away from my spleen, creepy bastard.
What else...? Ah, the League of Assassins.
Damian
Tim pauses. Holy crap. Damian's only six right now. Tim moves Damian's box upwards in urgency. Tim might have a mildly antagonistic relationship with his younger brother back then, but he wants baby pictures of his siblings, dammit. He's gonna put that photography expertise to good use if it's the last thing he does.
Watch over Z, Owens, Pru
'They're alive!' His mind screams. Cold rationality slaps the sentimentality down with a quick 'But they won't be if I fail.'
His mind wanders to Dick Grayson. He scowls as something pops up in the back of his head.
Catalina Flores
Contact Nightwing- in space
He's gotta call Dick back from that Teen Titans mission, Jason's gonna need all of the support he's going to get.
Find Cass
Train Steph
Save Duke's family from Venom
Tim taps at that last point. He'll save them. But that might mean Duke might never join their family.
But he'll be happy and Tim... will deal with it. He'll be the only one mourning, anyways. To end on a lighter note, he adds something that he should have done ages ago.
Give Tam a raise.
Tim sighs as he gets out of the airport, the hired escort he found and vetted, delivering him to a predetermined hotel. They think his parents are already inside. He laughs and does not say anything to make them think otherwise. He has so many things to do, Tim laments as he settles down to track the Joker's movements. Here. That's where Jason's being held. Being tortured.
He can, however, knock two things off his list in one go. Tim picks up the burner phone he acquired. He doesn't have time, or else he would have done this sooner and saved them all the trouble.
[RR: Are you in Ethiopia yet?]
[Deathstroke: Payment confirmed. In Ethiopia.]
[RR: Third building by the docks.]
An hour.
[Deathstroke: Confirmed. Target spotted.]
Ten minutes.
[Deathstroke: Target eliminated. Bringing Robin to Safehouse.]
Twenty minutes.
[Deathstroke: Basic first aid applied. Leaving.]
[RR: Secondary payment sent. Confirm?]
[Deathstroke: Confirmed. Pleasure doing business with you.]
Tim sprawls on the king bed. He sighs a breath of relief. He'd check on Jason in person, if he weren't paranoid about leaving traces that would get back to him. Tim's pretty sure that Deathstroke's going to get hunted down in the near future, regardless, so he made sure to add a huge tip on top of the extra fees for burning one of Deathstroke's safe houses and the emergency first aid. He taps into the rudimentary camera Deathstroke had given him the access codes to, to stare at Jason's rising and falling chest. On a further table, the Joker's head laid in a preservation box.
He bypasses all of the security on the Teen Titan's tech to send Dick a message.
[Robin has been retrieved from the Joker. Contact Batman for details.]
Then, he sends Bruce the location of the safe house. Tim spends the rest of the day staring at Jason and watching his father in another timeline break as he huddles close to the broken body of Tim's Robin.
Timothy Drake destroys the burner phone.

It's kind of annoying (and weird) how DC keeps trying to rewrite how Jason and Bruce met to paint Bruce in a worst light.
Originally, Batman finds Jason stealing the Batmobile's tires, the kid runs away, and Batman finds him. Discovering the kid is homeless, he gives him to the authority and Jason finishes at Ma Gunn's school. Ma Gunn is actually teaching the kids to be gang members, so Jason tells Batman. Together, they win again Ma Gunn, and Bruce takes Jason in because he sees himself in him.
Well, in Nightwing: Year One, they change it for "Batman kidnapped Jason when he found him stealing his tires and forces him to become Robin", with Jason ATTACHED AND GAGGED in the batcave. (I like this comic except for that because wtf)
In Red Hood and The Outlaws (2011), they changed it for "Jason stole drugs from Leslie and Batman was ready to beat and throw a young teen in jail, but Leslie begged him to give him a chance", which again, wtf. Batman beating up a child. Okay.
In Red Hood and The Outlaws (2016), they changed it for "Bruce put Jason in Ma Gunn's school because he couldn't handle him after taking him in". The only good addition they made is "when Batman caught Jason stealing his tires, he bought him food".
I do not understand why they need to make him awful to this 12 years old so bad. What do they want to make it as if Bruce forced that life on Jason but also didn't want to deal with him. Why they cannot let it as it is, with Bruce having fun dealing with this lil shit that stole his tires and being there for him when he needs him later on, until he finally craves and takes Jason home.
And that's why I am so critical on how Batman and Bruce is written in Nightwing and Red Hood stories, because the writers are incapable to make their main character have conflict with Bruce, without changing his character and their story to make him abusive. They need him to be the bad guy of Jason's, and sometimes Dick's, story because they don't know how to make you side and care for their character without making the other side a monster.
#bruce wayne#batman#jason todd#robin#dick grayson#nightwing#dc comics#my ramblings#that's how you get Jason's fans that believe Bruce doesn't care or help the people struggling and Crime Alley#and doesn't understand this world which is NOT TRUE AT ALL#Bruce understands that people coming crimes because of their circonstances and he wants children to get the help their need#he literally has a breakdown in Gotham Knights because he refuses to believe a kid could kill his own parents#and after he talks about helping the kid he doesnât even view this kid as a criminal because it's a kid#Jason's writers stop making Bruce treats him like trash challenge impossible#including Nightwing because they fucking love to write Bruce hitting Dick in Nightwing for some reasons

RH: The Hill was not a Jason story but it was so nothing that it had no effect on his character and can be completely forgotten and disregarded. Robin Lives is not a Jason story but is has the audacity to bring back the classic classist âheâs always going to be doomedâ take while making him the final villain. Can someone say real and true about him for once
#Thinking of task force z fondly because it was the last Jason thing that was actually about him and written by someone who actually cared#about his character that was actually half decent.#The way the 1st Robin lives issue lures you in by making you think itâs actually going to give a fuck about Jasonâs inner world and then it#just turns into Bruce angst and Joker story đ©#Jason Todd#dc#Robin lives#Robin lives spoilers#wednesday spoilers#dcâs dedication to not sympathizing with this traumatized child is almost impressive. Bruce has nothing to answer for if Jason is just#inherently broken (but Robin Lives still makes him look awful though so who is for)#Conclusion: itâs a joker story

Usual phone calls with Bruce and Jason
Jason (answering the phone): Sup?
Bruce: Did you steal my hair gel?
Jason (shooting a man charging at him): Yes.
Bruce: Youâre not going to lie or anything?
Jason (kicking another goon attempting to jump him): Nah, you use the good stuff, and that good stuff is expensive. I wonât pay you back either.
Bruce (exhausted): If I send you the gel in bulk, will you stop doing that?
Jason: How long will it last?
Bruce: If you use it correctly, about a year.
Jason (his free hand holding back a goon): Hm... before I answer, whatâs your opinion on fighting female criminals?
Bruce: Equal rights, equal fights.
Jason (kicking said goon in the stomach): Exactly, one second then.
The female in question charged at Jason attempting to strike him with her bat, but he grabbed the bat, tilted his head to keep hold of his phone then kicked the woman in her stomach. The lady groaned, but Jason quickly pressed his boot on her stomach to make her stay down.
Lady Queenpin (Spanish): ÂĄPendejo, tenĂas que arruinarme todo! (Asshole, you just had to ruin everything for me!)
Jason (to her): Yeah, yeah cry about it in prison.
Jason sighed, looking around the warehouse then returning to his phone call with Bruce.
Jason: All right, that amount works for now. Glad we made a reasonable bargain.
Bruce (also refusing to say thank you): Glad you accepted it. Have fun on your mission, and for the love of God, donât kill anyone.
Jason: Totally, totally, totally. Iâll call you back.
Jason abruptly ended the call and looked at the goons he shot.
Jason: Okay, are you guys alive or dead? Groan if youâre alive!
The three goons he shot all groaned to confirm they were at least alive. Jason nodded.
Jason: All right, didnât shoot to kill, but if you guys die, thatâs on you!
Lady Goon: I can't believe you hit a woman!
Jason: Youâre a drug runner and an abusive parent. Youâre lucky I let you live.
Lady Goon: ÂĄEres un inĂștil! (You suck!)
Jason (spinning his gun with ease): And you have a hole in your arm.
Jason shot the lady in the arm with casual precision causing her immense pain, but she was alive to be arrested.

A lot of discussion lately about whether or not jason fans hallucinated a character who cares about his community (the âprotects women and kidsâ thing), but i think thatâs doing us a disservice and frankly letting DC off the hook.
Its not unreasonable to dislike that DC consistently makes the kid with the poorest background the most violent and selfish. (And the second poorest, Steph, the most incompetent).
Its not wild to extrapolate that someone who was first characterised as being Too Upset About Rape Victims and later characterised as prepared to take action where others wonât, could be getting involved in that kind of work.
Itâs not crazy fans being blind to canon when we donât want the sole voice of reason on the subject of community support to be the benevolent billionaire.
Itâs not delusional behaviour to make fanworks where the guy heavily implied to be a child victim of sexual assault takes on responsibility for other victims.
Is that what DC gave us? No, they didnât bother to address it.
#jason todd#dc#red hood#batman#bruce wayne#if that upsets you then donât worry!#there are a hundred years of comics#in which the billionaire with no skin in the game#is the only one allowed to be correct or compassionate or proactive.#why not go read those instead#and if youâre upset that fans donât care enough about leslie or helena#dc doesnât care about your characters either#i donât know why youâre mad at us
